How My Journey Began
About Me
I’m thrilled you’d like to learn more “about me”. First, let me introduce myself- my name is Julie Therese Phillips and I am a certified Life and Business Coach based in Santa Rosa California (fondly referred to as the Wine Country). My entire life I’ve been passionate about helping people overcome obstacles, grow and realize their dreams. I’ve always known that my life’s purpose was to be of assistance to people, which is probably why I always gravitated toward a career in hospitality. Since I was 18 years old I’ve held leadership roles at hotels, wineries, restaurants and catering companies. I have been fortunate to work for well-known companies such as “the girl and the fig” and “E & J Gallo Winery”, as well as smaller businesses and start-ups. The wealth of experience and insight I have gained over the years goes beyond the scope of the hospitality industry.
Although I’ve had this desire to help others, I was uncertain how to go about doing so. Friends and family would regularly reach out to me looking for counsel or advice about relationships, career changes, launching new businesses, etc. If I were to identify the one common, most valuable role I played during these conversations it was listening…actively and unconditionally listening. Truly listening to someone is probably one of the most loving things you can do for any human being. Allowing someone to empty their thoughts is the beginning of helping them realize how they want to proceed in any situation. Once I acknowledged this “super power” I had, listening, I subsequently knew that Coaching was how I would help people.
What I love about Coaching is that it focuses on positive momentum, setting goals, overcoming blocks, producing results and ultimately, achieving your dreams. While Coaching I have the opportunity to show you different perspectives, challenge self-limiting beliefs, and be a source of support throughout the process. You will find my Coaching to be a safe, confidential, and loving environment with no judgment, allowing you to be more open and honest with yourself. My promise to you is to actively listen to YOU, hold you accountable to YOUR goals, and most importantly, get YOU excited about the journey ahead.
